Numerology — Understanding Life Through Numbers
Numerology is an ancient way of making sense of life through the language of numbers. Its roots trace back to the great mathematician Pythagoras, whose name still echoes in every mathematics classroom today. Born in 608 BC, Pythagoras was much more than a scholar. He was a free thinker, philosopher and visionary, who founded a university in Crotona — then a Greek colony in Southern Italy — where students gathered to learn not only mathematics, but also deeper lessons about independence, purpose, love, and the meaning of life.
Among his teachings was the Science of Numbers — the belief that numbers carry energetic vibrations that reflect patterns in our lives. These principles formed the foundation of what we now know as modern Numerology. Each number holds a quality, a “tone”, that can guide us in understanding ourselves better.
The Meaning of the Numbers
Number 1 – Self-expression, individuality, communication, and personal power
Number 2 – Sensitivity, intuition, emotional connection, and partnership
Number 3 – The thinking mind, creativity, imagination, and intellect
Number 4 – Stability, structure, practicality, and reliability
Number 5 – Freedom, movement, love, adventure, and expression of the soul
Number 6 – Creativity, duty, responsibility — and sometimes stress or worry
Number 7 – Learning, philosophy, insight, reflection, and spiritual growth
Number 8 – Wisdom, leadership, independence, manifestation, and success
Number 9 – Ambition, compassion, responsibility, and idealism.
How to Find Your “Personal Year Number”
Pythagoras taught that life moves in repeating nine-year cycles. When one cycle completes, another begins. Understanding where you are in this rhythm can provide clarity, reassurance, and direction.
Here’s how to work it out:
1️⃣ Take your day and month of birth
2️⃣ Add the numbers together until you get a single digit
3️⃣ Add this to the number of the current year
4️⃣ Reduce again to a single digit
Example:
Date of birth: 13 September
1 + 3 + 9 = 13 → 1 + 3 = 4 (your base number)
If the year is 2021 → 2 + 0 + 2 + 1 = 5
Then: 5 + 4 = 9
This person is in a Year 9 cycle.

Year 6 – Creativity and Responsibility
A beautifully creative year in home, work, and relationships. Collaborate, innovate, and bring fresh inspiration into your world.
Year 7 – Reflection and Understanding
A contemplative year. Challenges may appear, but they carry great wisdom. Embrace learning, healing, and inner growth.
Year 8 – Power and Prosperity
A year of independence, opportunity, and financial strength. Step confidently into leadership and enjoy the rewards of effort.
Year 9 – Completion and Fulfillment
The final year of the cycle. What has been sown now comes to fruition. A wonderful time for travel, reflection, completion — and preparation for the new cycle ahead.
