We all have times when we need to seek help and advice. It is important to recognise this and not to feel ashamed. Initially a family member, friend or even trusted work colleague can give us guidance and offer up a new perspective.

However, there are times when we need a bit extra help. This could be a qualified therapist, a self-help group or online course for a particular topic that we need help with.

Element Water

Element Water

Today is ruled by the element Water. 

Today shapes up to be an emotional, thought-provoking day. Your senses and feelings are heightened. It is a good day for being around trusted friends and family, rather a close circle than the big wide world. 

Water Days are ideal days to find some ‘private time’ to go within, mediate and think how you fit into this world. Like with the oxygen mask in the plane, you need to put your ‘own one first’ before you can help others. This is not an act of selfishness, but vital to be a happy member of society. 

If you struggle with certain issues – seek help. Once you have overcome these struggles and find yourself in a happy, balanced state, return the favour and help those who then in turn seek support. Volunteering for a local charity would be a great use of your time, but if you can’t do that, you may be able to make a donation. As they say – giving is even more joyous than receiving!

Water Days (as the name suggests) are ideal for watering houseplants, bringing out natural fertilizers and start a compost heap. During a Waning Moon try to get a lot of the washing and deep cleaning done –  especially items that you don’t clean too often, like bedspreads, rugs, curtains and those hidden shelves. 

Planting, composting are all activities that do well today.

This is a creative, productive, and positive time. Good for all kinds of cultural experiences, communication, and artistic enterprises.  Ideas just flow better and it makes a great day for writing, broadcasting, blogging.

As communication is highlighted, try to reach out to people you lost touch with or try to patch up strained relationships (especially during the Waning Moon).

In the home it is a great time for baking, decorating, airing and dusting. The decoration element follows into the garden to spend some time with flowers or any flowering bushes/trees. Cutting during the Waning Moon and planting/tending to during the Waxing Moon.

Element Earth

Element Earth

Today is ruled by the element Earth. 

Today is a pragmatic and work-focused day.  Any task involving finances like adding money to investments, doing your receipts, VAT returns, etc. belongs to today. It is all about bringing order and stability into your life. Be realistic and forward-thinking, but at the same time pay due diligence and be persistent, especially when you invest for your future.

Although these days a very action-packed as you tick off your to-do list, Earth Days prompt you to get out in the garden and reconnect with nature. Planting, weeding, turning the soil – anything to do with preparing the soil for planting, but also building related tasks like laying a new garden path or putting down foundations for patios, pergolas and fences. In the home, especially when paired with the Waning Moon, these days are ideal for any kind of maintenance or repair jobs.

Earth Days are ideal detox days. Being so busy you won’t even notice not eating too much and you rarely have got time for a big meal anyway. Contrary to common belief, fasting will give you more energy rather than less.  If you do eat,  keep to a healthy, predominately vegetarian diet with a lot of herb teas and water. Give your digestions a mini-break, whilst the rest of the body is busy getting stuff done.
